The Devil Will Drag You Under
Someone may know what this means and others won’t…for those that don’t….don’t ask…………….
Am I a horrible person?…What’s wrong with me?…We all have our sins I suppose, is mine any different. I’d like to say no, but in the eyes of society it is…it’s frowned on, shamed on, like all sins should be just a little more do to the nature I suppose. ( I didn’t kill anyone :D) God gives me courage today and amazing friends give me courage today to end it all. To turn around and punch that devil in the nose. I am DONE with ALL of this stuff. Why was I the lucky one to get stuck in such a precarious position? I don’t know, but what I do know is the things I’ve done and those it has effected, I’m sorry. I really am…I thank Josiah from the bottom of my heart…I hope he can save me….

It’s only a matter of time before the back of your mind catches up with you.
So it’s been a while since I’ve had anything to say. I leave in less than a month for Europe on a big tour, and I work at Marble Slab Creamery with my best friend Ben. Things are going super well.
So now what am I talking about. Well, there is a particular person, whom I won’t name, that I had become really good friends with and oh how I love this person to death. All is going well for a while then all of the sudden this person disappears! I text and call…nothing. I assume oh he/she is just busy I won’t read into it. Yet that little voice in the back of my mind is saying no dude, something is wrong, but I block it out. Time passes…nothing. I begin to worry, but I can’t get in touch with the person at all! Then out of no where I’m driving to Hastings and I get a text from this person and oh I’m so happy and they are all, “sorry it’s been so long and I’m busy!” Yay we text for a while. What a great day that was. Well, today is a day we usually hang out. So, I call…as it’s ringing I see this person in the distance walking with someone else and I’m going to run over there, but it’s pretty far. I leave a voice mail and let it be, but now those thoughts have caught up. What did I do to disserve being completely ignored? Like fine, you’re busy, but not even a text back, for weeks? So here is the main point of my message. People aren’t stupid…it’s easy to tell when you aren’t wanted. I’m reminded now of something ironic that this friend and I talked about once…”It’s easy to make time for those you care about, and it’s easy to flake off those who don’t matter.

More Than Just Notes on a Page
Music moves me in a way I really can't explain. I've let my thoughts wander far too much tonight...and I've had another identity crisis. Music is keeping me peaceful at the moment but also it's making me loose it too. Everyone has that special song that means many things to them. I have #41 By Dave Matthews, specifically the Live at Radio City version. I listen to it and it's like my soul pours out all it's stress and all it's frustrations. Tears stream down my face nearly every time I listen to it. I don't know if you have listened to your "Soul's Song" recently, but pull it out, and let your emotions flow.

The Beginning of the New
Today it has occurred to me that I AM IN...COLLEGE?! I remember thinking about this when I was in junior high and high school. I remember being worried and not knowing what the future holds for me, and wondering if I was going to hate it. I remember thinking that the fun times and hang outs would end and never return. While the "hang outs" have definitely dwindled down, the fun times have not by any standards. I see myself making new friends and some how I manage to find some a little time to chill with my best friends, and new friends and pull off a 4.0 in school. (So far that is.) It seems that I'm finally becoming an adult and ready to take on the world and show everyone that I am capable of becoming an incredibly strong musician. Not to sound arrogant but I already have a pretty good voice. Now I just have to stand up and show everyone I have it. I can't sit on the sidelines anymore. I have some of the most amazing friends a guy could ask for, and they have supported me through thick and thin. Many at times I feel jealous of these great friends as they are extremely gifted in, not only singing, but guitar, bass, violin, djembe, trap set drums, mandolin, ect. You name it, and they can play it, but I'm done feeling sorry for myself, and I'm sure they are tired of me being sad all the time.
If you are done reading that, congratulations! You win the grand prize! A life time supply of prunes! Ok obviously that's a joke, but seriously thanks if you did read all that. Let's all go make something of ourselves.
I'm pulling for you, we're all in this together.
