It’s only a matter of time before the back of your mind catches up with you.

So it’s been a while since I’ve had anything to say. I leave in less than a month for Europe on a big tour, and I work at Marble Slab Creamery with my best friend Ben.  Things are going super well.

So now what am I talking about.  Well, there is a particular person, whom I won’t name, that I had become really good friends with and oh how I love this person to death.  All is going well for a while then all of the sudden this person disappears!  I text and call…nothing.  I assume oh he/she is just busy I won’t read into it.  Yet that little voice in the back of my mind is saying no dude, something is wrong, but I block it out.  Time passes…nothing.  I begin to worry, but I can’t get in touch with the person at all!  Then out of no where I’m driving to Hastings and I get a text from this person and oh I’m so happy and they are all, “sorry it’s been so long and I’m busy!”  Yay we text for a while.  What a great day that was.  Well, today is a day we usually hang out.  So, I call…as it’s ringing I see this person in the distance walking with someone else and I’m going to run over there, but it’s pretty far.  I leave a voice mail and let it be, but now those thoughts have caught up.  What did I do to disserve being completely ignored?  Like fine, you’re busy, but not even a text back, for weeks?  So here is the main point of my message.  People aren’t stupid…it’s easy to tell when you aren’t wanted.  I’m reminded now of something ironic that this friend and I talked about once…”It’s easy to make time for those you care about, and it’s easy to flake off those who don’t matter.

Thanks for reading!
